FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should I have my pool professionally serviced?
Regular servicing is essential. We recommend completing a basic scoop and cleaning of the pool once a week, emptying all baskets and robots once a fortnight and having a complete chemistry test monthly. Our servicing packages include all of these tasks as part of our comprehensive maintenance plans and are offered in weekly, fortnightly and monthly intervals for your convenience.
How are we working towards sustainability?
At Luxury Pool Services, we believe that sustainability starts at home. Your pool is a perfect place to consider equipment and chemical options which provide greater sustainability and reduced environmental and financial impacts in your home. Ask us about our range of super energy efficient filtration pumps and electrical heat pumps on offer.
What brands does Luxury Pool Services work with?
We have developed an extensive range of suppliers and brands to ensure your pool and equipment is perfect for Australian Conditions. Some of the brands we associate with include; Fluidra, Reece Australia, Supreme Heating, Astral, Roboteck, IQ Theralux and Waterco.
What is the ideal pH level for my pool?
The ideal pH level for pool water should be between 7.2 and 7.6 to maintain comfort and prevent damage to pool equipment.
How often should I backwash my pool filter?
It depends on your pool usage, but generally, backwashing should be done every 1-2 weeks or when the pressure gauge indicates a rise in pressure.
How long should I run my pool pump each day?
A pool pump should run for about 6-8 hours a day, depending on the season and pool usage, to ensure proper circulation and filtration.
What causes algae growth in my pool?
Algae can grow due to poor circulation, imbalanced water chemistry, or insufficient chlorine levels. Regular maintenance and proper chemical levels help prevent algae.
Why is my pool losing water?
Water loss could be due to evaporation, leaks, or issues with the pool plumbing. If you’re losing more than 1-2 inches per week, it could be a sign of a leak.

Brandon is one of the most clever, skilled, reliable and friendly professionals I’ve ever engaged. He was given an IMPOSSIBLE task of installing a heater for my pool in a tiny pool-side box, but he magically rearranged the pump and piping in order to get the job done. He was thorough and creative and after many hours of Brandon’s hard work, we had a great new heater that was beautifully tucked away out of sight! We are very, very happy!
